About Sprite Manufacturing Ltd
The original company was founded by Ian Jesson in the early 1950's. Ian was a farmer which helped him to develop, design and build new farm buildings.
He progressed from his cow yard in Hose to building A.R Hunts building in Hose, which is currently owned by Electro Motion. This site was used to build the Diamond Hanger at Stansted Airport.
Ian Jesson ran The BGT Training Centre, developed to teach young people about welding and fabrication.
Sprite Manufacturing Ltd has evolved from this past, to its current location in Stathern. Steve Quennell is Managing Director of Sprite Manufacturing Ltd. He worked in the Aircraft Industry for five years prior to moving to I.C. Jessons & Sons, which became Sprite Manufacturing. During this time he achieved distinctions at college in both his ONC and HNC in mechanical Engineering.
Steve received an Outstanding Achievements Award from Grantham Engineering Society for his Band saw Design, continuing Sprite's range of saw machinery, developed to strip down pallets safely and economically for re-cycling.
Sprite Manufacturing became Limited in August 2006. This was part of an on going development and investment plan which added structure to the companies future.
